Hello! My name is Ruby Doran. I am a singer/actor based out of New York City! I was born to a former collegiate basketball player and a stoner who opened for Blondie a few times. What could go wrong?

I grew up loving theatre after seeing the movie Annie, and at 17, I was cast on Season 20 of American Idol, Less than a few months later I committed to Pace Musical Theatre’s Class of 2026. While at Pace, I have been awarded the opportunity to hone in on my craft and do it around people I love.

Most recently, I spent my summer down the Jersey Shore starring as Rusty in the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s production of Footloose! Previous credits include The American Football Musical alongside Kerry Butler, Larry Owens, Mary Testa, and Anne L. Nathan, Sandy in Grease, and Ensemble/US Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.

When I am not performing, you will absolutely find me watching The Sopranos and traveling from state to state to support my partner, Carl, who is currently on the 1st National Tour of Water For Elephants!
